Pastelli was the registered trademark of Royal of Pittsburg located in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The firm was in business from the mid 1950s to the mid 1980s. Pastelli jewelry is quite attractive and distinguishable. The firm manufactured primarily rhinestone jewelry often combined with frosted and translucent pastel stones and enameled pieces in pastel colors without stones. When signed, the jewelry is marked Pastelli. The mark Pastelli in script signature from under a crown and the word Royal is found on tags and the author strongly suspects that much of the jewelry was not marked.
